Horses & Mules For Sale
Because of the rising cost of feed in our area we
are forced to reduce our herd. Our three broodmares are now for
sale. We intend to keep one of them but, since we enjoy all of
them, we are leaving it up to the buyers to choose which ones we sell.
Information on each mare is included on this page. You can go to
our mare page
to see more pictures, their pedigrees, and their offspring. They are all
currently open. We are selling them open or bred to
Darrah's Ivory Chance
for the same price.

page to see this year's babies that are for sale!

- Foaled April 21, 2009 -- TWHBEA 20902143
- This is a heads-up colt that will work for almost any discipline
you choose. He has the hybrid vigor, both in gait and conformation,
that comes from crossing his sire's old-fashioned bloodlines and
proven walking ability with the beauty of the Pride line.
- Possum has had 60 days professional training primarily in a
round pen and indoor arena. He is ready for an experienced
rider. He is currently turned out in a brushy pasture with the
rest of the herd just being a horse.
- $2,500
Yza Grasshopper - "Hopper"

The Buck Starts Here and out of
Annika
- Buckskin gelding with a star, snip, and one hind sock
- Foaled 4/26/2009 -- TWHBEA 20902144
- This is a nice big gelding that will make a great trail horse.
At 2 years of age he measured 15.2.
- "Hopper" developed hematomas in his ears when he was a couple
months old, surgery was done, and now he has misshapen ears which
detract from his appearance. Because of this we have reduced his
price to $2,000.
- He has had 60 days training primarily in a round pen and indoor
arena and is now ready for an experienced rider to put some miles
into him. He is currently in a brushy pasture just being a horse.

Genius's Wildflower - "Pogo" - TWHBEA 958446

2006 filly by The Buck Starts Here |

After a ride |
- We acquired Pogo primarily to use as a riding horse. She is an
awesome trail horse ... never tires and is extremely surefooted even
over the roughest terrain. She is, however, not a horse for an
inexperienced rider. Pogo is 15-2 hands tall.
- She has had 3 foals. She is easy to get in foal (we didn't
breed her every year), has had no problems foaling, and is an
excellent mother with plentiful milk. Her foals are heads-up horses
with plenty of walk.
- We are selling her for $2000 open or with a free breeding to our
stallion, Darrah's
Ivory Chance. Crossing with him will result in a palomino,
buckskin, or smoky black foal.
- To see her complete pedigree, go to our
mare page.
Annika - TWHBEA
20203117
In foal to
JFK -- due March 26, 2012
- Annika is a big (almost 16 hands), beautiful, well-bred mare
foaled in 2002. She has a wonderful disposition. She is broke to
ride but needs more training and experience. We have taken her
on a couple rides in the State Natural Area near Bandera, Texas and
she negotiated the difficult, rocky trails with no problems.
She is comfortable behind, among, or ahead of the other horses.
- She has had two outstanding buckskin colts both from one
breeding with shipped semen. She has never missed settling in foal
when bred,
the only reason she skipped a year is because we don't breed her
every year. She's a great mother with plenty of rich milk.
- We are selling her in foal to
JFK and with a free breeding back to our
stallion, Darrah's
Ivory Chance for $5000. Crossing with Chance will result
in a palomino, buckskin, or smoky black foal.
- To see her complete pedigree, go to our
mare page.
Darrah's Fancy Firefly - "Firefly" - TWHBEA
943299
 |
 |
- Firefly is the horse we put inexperienced riders on to show them
what the TWH gait should feel like. She's not only gives them
a smooth ride but can be trusted to remain level-headed and calm. We
are currently breaking her to drive.
- We have raised 3 TWHs and 1 mule out of her. All of the
foals have her fantastic gait and disposition. She settles in
foal easily whether bred naturally or with shipped semen. She
has never missed settling in foal, the only reason she skipped a
year is because we don't breed her every year. She's a great
mother with plenty of milk.
- Firefly, a 1994 foal, has unique color genetics, she is a true
seal brown. When she sheds out in the spring she is almost
black and always very shiny. She is almost 16 hands tall and a
very easy keeper.
- We are selling her for $3000 open or with a free breeding to our
stallion, Darrah's
Ivory Chance. Crossing with him will result in a palomino,
buckskin, or smoky black foal.
- To see her complete pedigree, go to our
mare page.
